Acid Stained Concrete
The beauty of Marble without the price!
Acid Stains are penetrating liquid stains that create chemical reactions with the cement content in a concrete surface which produce unique colors and variegated effects.

Concrete surfaces treated with Acid Stain, including plazas, driveways, sidewalks, patios, basement and all interior concrete floors and lobbies, are given a subtle shaded color with natural beauty. The color will not chip, crack or wear off like coatings because the stain penetrates and colors both the concrete surface and substrate.

A clear protective sealer is then applied over the surface to protect and waterproof. Sealers can range from a simple solvent or water based acrylic to a high performance epoxy primer and a high gloss urethane coating.

Acid Stains can be applied to trowel finished concrete or to a DiamondKote cement overlay. Designs can be created by stenciling, saw cuts, sandblasting, adding aggregates to change the reaction, or combining acid colors.

Color Chart

Each Acid Stain creates color effects in concrete surfaces that simulate the natural shadings and aged appearance of stone or masonry. The color effect is unique to each stained surface and cannot be duplicated with other materials.
